School sessions are designed to enhance classroom learning incorporating science aspects from the National Curriculum for Excellence, in particular Planet Earth, Biodiversity and Interdependence. We help bring to life topics such as endangered species, habitats, adaptations, life cycles, food chains, mini-beasts and biodiversity. Sessions can be tailored to suit all ages and abilities, including pupils with special educational needs.
We work closely with HM Revenue and Customs on the prevention of the illegal trade in animal merchandise. As part of our sessions we bring along seized animal artefacts to raise awareness of the effect the illegal trade can have on these amazing creatures. Through educational sessions for schools, clubs and adult groups we introduce participants to endangered species that are at risk of becoming extinct, possibly even in our lifetime!
We participate in public events including science festivals, family fun days, fetes, fairs and fundraisers. Choose from either group animal handling sessions or a drop-in style set up with displays of animals, games for the kids and animal handling talks.
We can also visit your child’s birthday party providing a fun and different party experience for the birthday child and all their friends. Our parties can be set up at your home or chosen venue for children aged 4 years+. We bring a collection of animals to your animal handling party for the children to hold, touch and observe in a safe and exciting way.
